Bud, If you havent gotten any references yet, consider this: A) Lawyer specialty = intellectual property combined with commercial contract negotiations. B) Lawyers have to pass a Bar exam administered by the state they practice in. Therefore, contacting your state bar association will usually lead you to a 800 number directory with qualifications. Here in NY, when you use the state system they provide you with a first time referral fee of $25 for speaking with the attorney you chose. Not bad huh. Though it can take up to 3 tries to get a good match. C) The best way to protect intellectual property is thru filing for a patient, and/or trademarks etc, as plagiarism / copyright cases are expensive and timely to pursue.
Hope that helps.
