I got it to work, apparently I was trying to output the file to one of the
servers that coldfusion could not see. Permissions or something. I changed
the server where the file will be written and now it works fine. It will end
up in a bat file once in production. I was just trying to get it working so
I know what needs to go in it.

Thanks

When I've used cfexecute in the past, I've opted to use a batch file
and use cfexecute to run the bat. I also make sure to use the full
path of the bat to execute it because I'm never certain what path the
cfexecute command executes relative to in the file system.

Beyond that, there's a variable attribute in the cfexecute tag you can
use to store the stdout content that's normally printed in the dos
shell.

Just give it a variable name then output that variable in your cf
page.
