The "only release it with Windows Vista" is not true, the fix will be included in future versions of windows and a patch for IE6 is due to be pushed out on 4/11. So depending on how many people allow windows to update their machine and how often, the repercussions of this will be felt pretty quickly for some people. Probably not as fast for corporations that don't push the patch out. But for public sites?
