nevermind. ColdFusion was displaying the wrong template name and line numbers for the error because the error occurred at compile time while compiling the CFC, but because the erroneous line numbers it showed included a cfinvoke tag that definitely had a method attribute I didn't catch on immediately to the fact that the CFC being invoked contained a bad cfinvoke tag.
