Could someone briefly explain why I'd need to use passive FTP? I remember running into a problem a while back when uploading large files, the connection would break, but checking the passive FTP box fixed it.
I'd like to know why/how it actually works. This is in the docs but what else is there to it? Passive FTP enables your local software to set up the FTP connection rather than requesting the remote server to set it up. If youâre not sure whether you use passive FTP, check with your system administrator.
