In a nutshell, one way text message is easy. Need to subscribe to someone like:
http://www.m-qube.com/html/prodServ/gateway.html They provide the gateway and in turn communicate messages with the various telecom providers. Two way SMS seems to be a wee bit more complicated as this involves a virtual number of sorts. I still don't understand the abc's just yet but I've only just started to dig. Pricing also varies greatly ...and I haven't seen many deals for small time operators. On average I'm seeing prices of 3 - 4 cents per message.
