Hey there, I'm am further behind than you are...but if I wanted to learn MVC and objects I would do the quick start guide in Model Glue and then build a few really small apps. My understanding is that model glue enforces MVC and OOP. I bet you would understand alot more after a few hours of playing around with Model Glue than after reading a few books. Get the books and read them over time as you play with Model Glue.
