The solution certainly doesn't explain the URL string, but
I have no idea what would cause the URL string to appear
because of "Get" instead of "Post"...

But...but...but....I thought you said that when you included the file 
field, it had a URL string, and when you didn't, it didn't.  I dismissed 
this answer based on that behavior.
