Even though I'm sure you checked them, why not share: CF Server versions? OS? Page encoding settings from within the admin? Default Char set on both machines?

Um how does one determine this? I would like to know how this works. I have resolved the problem, but I am trying to learn more about encoding and charsets and internalization in general. When one has a hard coded file path in a XSLT document fragment to merge two XML documents together - make sure the path actually points to the correct file system path for the XML document in question.
