No, that's not the case.  You just have to setup a couple of lines to
point to the cfc and the js files, and it all works with relative paths
if that's what you need.  But to be honest with you, it's been a long
time since I actually setup an AjaxCFC project from scratch, I just keep
maintaining the same one.  :)  So I can't remember all the stuff that I
did, but I am on a shared host as well, and I know I didn't ask them to
create a mapping for me.
