You may want to try "HTML Compress". It's freeware that removes white space characters such as carriage returns, line feeds, spaces and tabs.
http://www.freesoft.fsnet.co.uk/html01.htm By default, it works on HTML, PHP, and ASP, but its possible to extend the application yourself to work with CFM code as well. There are other programs like this out there, but I haven't tried them. One that I've heard a lot about is HTTPZip.
