The only other option then is to use an ISAPI rewriter or short circut the 404 handler. Fusion Authority uses the latter to produce the pages you see. Each is dynamic and does not need the .htm extension but I add it for better search engine presence. Google seems to like the idea of thousands of files a lot better than thousands of directories.
