Degrade quickly? I disagree. It's been working great for me for quite a while now. I've only had to edit when new "forms" of spam come in.
My first wave was the drugs. I just added new drugs (viagra, etc) as they came in. Then came gay porn. Then came cell phones. I haven't had it degrade at all in my experience. Regex could make my list easier. I think I'd probably just make it so that instead of assuming each list item is a keyword, that it's a regex pattern instead. That would take two seconds to change. ;) Anyway - I know everyone's experience will be bad, but so far, my experience has been very good. I do have false positives, but I'd rather have than then porn spam.
