CFML uses ^ for exponent

M = P * ( J / (1 - (1 + J) * (-N * -N)))

I'm not all that great at math so that's probably not right...just a guess.

Can anyone help write this in CF?

It's a mortgage calculation formula and I want to build a CF-based
calculator.

Here's the formula I found:

M = P * ( J / (1 - (1 + J) ** -N))

M is Mortgage Payment
P is  Principal
J is monthly interest in decimal form = I / (12 x 100) N is the number of
months of the loan

I'm not sure how to handle the ** -N part.the exponent.

How would this be written using CF?
