One of the Myths about Linux is that it's "hard". This is just silly. It's "different" but not "hard". You had to take the time to learn how to use Windows at one time, correct? Well, that's all it takes to learn Linux: a little time. However, since most of us use windows on our PC's, it's natural to want to use an OS on a server that you're already familiar with and have a general understanding of how it works. It's funny because this is all that's behind MS's big "TCO" and "Get the Facts" campaigns. "It will take your technicians *so much* time to learn Linux and you'll lose *so much* money teaching them that it's just not worth it." That whole ad campaign is based off of IT people having difficulty learning new things. Sure. That makes a lot of sense. IT people *never* have to learn new things because the IT industry *never* changes, right? At any rate, the bottom line is that it's not "hard" to use Linux, it's just "different". If you understand the concepts of how web servers or email servers work, then you're already most of the way there in learning to use Linux.
