I would keep my eye on BoardFusion (http://www.boardfusion.org/) for future
reference but it isn't available for download yet, so it won't help on this
occassion. There is also iPostMX -
http://www.colebarksdale.com/software/ipostmx.cfm - which looks pretty
decent, but I am not sure if it is still under active development. Lastly,
there is CFBB (http://www.adersoftware.com/index.cfm?page=cfbb), which is
free for non-commercial use, but I know very little about it.

For future reference, you can always check the open-source list I maintain
at http://www.remotesynthesis.com/cfopensourcelist - it lists all the free
message boards that I am aware of.
