Hi folks, I'm new to the group, so please excuse me if this question has
been asked before.
I am working with a data-driven verity collection to search a list of
categories. Right now I am manipulating the search string to force an AND
search, and then if there are no results, force an OR search. This method
has returned satisfiable results... to a point.
I know that the verity engine uses an internal algorithm to compute a score,
but this doesn't order things quite the way I thought they would. For
example, I have a category called "Hunting", as well as other categories
with "Hunting" in the name and keywords. All the categories that match the
search phrase come up, which is expected, but why wouldn't the category with
just the word "Hunting" come up at the top of the list?
Does anyone have any suggestions?
