Just be wary of the DB size. For smaller less intense projects MSDE is suitable - glad it is working out!

They get a few tens of thousands of sessions per day and I am absolutely amazed at how well the server is handling the load. I opted NOT to go with SQL Server Express because I didn't see the point, frankly. SSE uses tons of extra resources, (.NET 2.0 for starters), warns me that my server is below the base spec and didn't want to work with Enterprise Manager. MSDE on the otherhand is a resource nibbler by comparison. After a day of getting hammered the service is only eating about 235mb, with resource spikes that look like little bumps, never going above about 20%, and momentary ticks at that. Just a thought... If you are combining stuff onto one server make sure you really need the resource hog versus what may be a fully functional alternative. -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] Janitor, MSB Web Systems mysecretbase.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Introducing the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update. 80 pages of hard-hitting, up-to-date ColdFusion information by your peers, delivered to your door four times a year. http://www.fusionauthority.com/quarterly Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/message.cfm/messageid:248865 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4
