Hi Hong,

While I agree with you that it isn't an easy one, but I might not agree on
that any one without a year solid Cold Fusion experience could not make it.

I, myself passed it two weeks ago with six and a half months cold fusion
experience. Of course without my C++, VB, and other programming experience
I might not get it in such a short time.

Before taking Allaire's exam, I tried Brainbench, Cfsopt and some other
tests. Believe or not I almost got the same score in all these tests. This
does not mean that if you pass the tests in other sites you can pass
Allaire's. It all depends the questions in the tests.

I would say Allaire's exam is the best and hardest one. It tests your
programming knowledge and skill not your memory. The scores I lost in
Allaire are some basic knowledge like HTML related ones and some thing so
basic I saw it on my screen everyday but never pay attention to. As for
those questions regarding to arrays, structures, loops , error handling,
they are not a problem for me, because they have the same logic with other
programming language. The scores I lost in the other sites' tests are those
attributes of the tags, I really can't remember them. This is because I rely
too much on online help when I programming, also because I only have half
year experience in Cold Fusion.

I also agree with you that to pass Allaire's exam, one must have a sound
understand of Cold Fusion and some real time programming experience. I also
agree that to get a score above 90% is not a easy job. Like you with full
confidence, I still did not reach it.

To those who are preparing the test I would suggest that dowload the study
guide from Allaire site and follow it. Pay extra attention to those
loops ,arrays, structures, customer tags, error handling. Also pay
attention to SQL statement, the where, order by , group by...., I got a
lot of questions on those things.
 Good luck!

Sima

I took and passed the exam last week. It was a bit hard, given my 2+
extensive cold fusion dev. experience.
Things you need to be careful are sections on custom tags, the different
modes of custom tags, and I don't know why they put up a question on
CFUPDATE, it's an outdated tag.

Though fully confident, I merely passed the exam, which I have to be
suspecious on the accuracy of the exam. Does anyone out there share
similar experience besides me?

Thanks and good luck! Read Forta's 2 books and Allaire's reference manual.
I don't think anyone without a one year solid experience can pass the exam.
