Dave, I'm with you. I have several projects going on that fit into two categories: backend intensive and front end intensive. The backend stuff is a generally OO/CFCs stored in an SVN repository. These projects have minimal front end stuff. Eclipse rocks for this.
The front-end intensive projects are mostly where I have to connect to an FTP server where an existing site is. I usually download the few files that I need to modify, make my edits, testing locally or not depending on extent of changes, and then upload my changes back via FTP. This where Dreamweaver rocks. If I have one file I need to PUT, I do the Ctrl-Shift-U shortcut while that file is open. It automatically goes to the right directory. That Weaves my Dreams. Unless I completely stop the front-end type of projects, I don't see myself abandoning DW completely anytime soon. DW just makes the inline CSS/HTML type of stuff much easier. Oh, and a couple of these front-end sites are in ASP. DW handles that no problem.
