I'm gonna add to this thread.... the above method *DOES* work. I do have an issue though. For example... if you're using Flash or Flex Remoting, all requests run through the gateway, and thus there doesn't seem to be any way to have different flex apps on the same web site use different instances of coldfusion if you're using remoting.
