We are looking into tools that can draw data from multiple data sources (ODBC-compliant databases, Excel, QuickBooks, ASCII, etc.) and allow us to create informative dashboards for high level managers that present complex information very succinctly, allow drill down, etc.

Has anybody used these things with any success and is willing to make some recommendations?
