I contacted Macromedia (Adobe) directly and told them what we were looking to purchase. We wanted a demo of the product(s) and they came out and then we told them that we wanted to get a "base" start on licenses and work with them to make sure the software meets our needs and if it does we would be interested in purchasing more.
We must have done something right because Macromedia wanted us to do a case study for them so they could post it on their web, use it as an example at other locations/sales, etc. We never got around to doing that case study...I mean come on....who has the time.... But if I was in your shoes I would contact Macromedia first and work from there...they might send you to an authorized reseller and then you would work with them but I find its best to work with the company. We also did a lot of work with CDW-G and they ALWAYS gave us good prices on pretty much anything we needed. If you need contacts let me know...it will take me awhile to get my hands on them but I have them somewhere (just moved to a new location so most of my stuff is still in boxes).
