Wow, I just started researching this exact log message myself yesterday and haven't been unable to uncover anything. It has to be in an XML file somewhere! I don't believe it has anything to do with an MS Update as we've been seeing this message for a year now with no new updates applied to the machines.
I'll continue to look for the source and let you know if I find it, and would love it if you let us all know if you find it as well. -----Original Message----- From: Mike Kear [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, September 29, 2006 3:08 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: CFForms suddenly giving errors? a MS Update causes this? CFForms that have been happily working for ages on my sites, and work fine on my Dev site are suddenly broken on my production sites. Can anyone shed any light on what might have caused this please? The error message is: [quote] javax.xml.transform.TransformerConfigurationException: javax.xml.transform.TransformerException: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The string "--" is not permitted within comments. A [Transformer] object cannot be created that satisfies the configuration requested.
