I think that Perl and Python are the most popular languages for bioninformatics; I doubt you'll find much CF-specific bioinformatics stuff. Java is also somewhat popular for this, so your best bet might be to work with Java bioinformatics libraries using CF - CF can be thought of as a very useful replacement for JSP. To go off on a slight tangent, I remembered reading one of Steven Erat's blog entries, about Ray Kurzweil's keynote at a recent bioinformatics conference, which quotes someone who responded to your question elsewhere! http://www.talkingtree.com/blog/index.cfm/2006/2/28/Kurzweil-Keynotes-BioIT- World-Interview-in-CIO-Mag-Using-TexttoSpeech Dave Watts, CTO, Fig Leaf Software http://www.figleaf.com/ Fig Leaf Software provides the highest caliber vendor-authorized instruction at our training centers in Washington DC, Atlanta, Chicago, Baltimore, Northern Virginia, or on-site at your location.
