That is correct, I think it happens with IE4 too.
This one puzzled me at first, about 18 months ago the uk ISPs started
distributing CDs with their branded version of IE and the explosion
distorted my log stats :-(

IE 5 can be "branded"; you can create your own version of IE 5, and
redistribute it. I think that the last part of the user agent string
identifies that brand.
