My opinion is that its hard to take time out to read the resources, especially when most of the stuff is simple enough to handle and everything is running smoothly.
It's when things start to go wrong and you have to start looking through books and relying on people in forums to get websites working properly. I'm also sure that there are loads of hidden gems that get overlooked. It would seem then that the best action is to take an advanced course and request that certain extra areas are covered in the time?
