I have a custom datasource ODBC driver (PRODBC.DLL) installed on the
server. I've a System DSN set up, using this driver to connect to a
pronto database.

CF5 was aware of the System DSN, and it wasn't a problem to access it
from CF.

It seems that within CFMX, it is not aware of the System DSN, so I need
to add the datasource through the administrator.

I've tried using ODBC Socket, which is aware that the system DSN exists,
but I'm seeing this error message on verification:

"Connection verification failed for data source: Rand
java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SequeLink JDBC Driver][SequeLink
Server]Unable to retrieve error message from backend ODBC Driver.
The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SequeLink
JDBC Driver][SequeLink Server]Unable to retrieve error message from
backend ODBC Driver."

Can anyone help with this?
