I had the unfortunate experience of working with CF and Sybase some time
ago. When I had a technical question about Sybase's functioning, I
found that tech support was completely incompetent -- they don't know
how their own software works! Sybase is so old, I'm guessing the guys
who might understand it have probably retired or else quit in disgust at
how flaky the company is these days. I would advise any client still
using it to upgrade their Sybase to a modern database.

Subject: NT and SQLServer development migrating to Unix and Sybase
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hi Guys,

Has anyone had/have any experience with using CF and Sybase? We
predominently use SQLServer 7 but we have a job coming up that will
require
us to use a Sybase Server. I ask as the situation we have is that we
will
be developing with CF4.5 Enterprise on NT with a SQLServer 7 DB, when we
go
live we will be shifting all code over to Unix and the Syabse
environment -
in an ideal world the code should work but before I say yep I want to
know
any little details that possibly may arise!!!

Thanks in advance.

Neil
