What's the simplest way to maintain simple formatted text in a db, without using tinyMCE, FCKeditor, or typing html into the textarea? When I say simple, I mean I just want to show line breaks, carriage returns, etc. Not worried about boldness, tables, etc.
I just tried using paragraphFormat() and it's using uppercase <P>'s. YUCK!
