Running a site like this helps build ones "worth" in the market though, so I certainly would hope is for more reasoning than the goodness of their heart. Because the goodness of ones heart can sometimes dry up and leave everyone in the dark. :)
I personally would just copy n paste, it is not that big of a deal to me. If it really was a big deal there are a number of tools that let you paste code on websites then view the code later. Some of the tools even have CFM, JavaScript, SQL, CSS buttons where it will change your color coding on the fly. I do not have any of the URLs for these tools bookmarked here but they certainly are an option for people who are worried about formatting retaining for the viewers and they could simply paste code at said website then plug a link into their email to CF-TALK. I think I have even done just that in the past when working on a problem and seeking help from multiple places.
