Rick, if it makes the  decision simpler, keep in mind that CFMX7 apps should
run under Scorpio (when it ships) with zero changes. In fact, the alpha thus
far has broken nothing in CFMX7, we've only added new stuff.

Since I'm snowed under with development already on the board for 4.5, I
think my best bet is to wait for CF 8 and save some cash.

I don't have time to spend getting up to speed on developing in CF 7
anyway...

Can't do free. We usually have some sort of amnesty period when a new
version comes out, but I don't know if we will this time, as we have yet to
announce it it'll obviously not apply yet.

I think your best bet is to buy subscription.
