We run some of our Enterprise things on RH 3 & 4 and we are moving more
over. Best way I found to learn was doing it grab an old pc hit
centos.orgdownload the ISO's and hammer away.  Many of your questions
can and will be
answered via google.com

As for books I am partial to the O'Rielly books
