I think I have solved the cross brower issue with regards to java applets but the only way to know for sure is to test.
You don't have to use the chat app just check to see if the form below the applet says "Applet started" http://flashjabber.kicks-ass.net:9000/smack_applet.html Some secs 1. Server: Tomcat 5.0.30 2.
