Claude basically sums up what I think about mapped paths.

Also, those CFAPPLICATION tag attributes are an AWESOME suggestion!

1. not every one has access to the Administrator, 2. once a mapping is
set, it is available to all applications, which is not always what you
want.

We would really need some more attributes in the <CFAPPLICATION tag,
like INCLUDEMAPPINGS="<list of full directory names>"
CUSTOMTAGMAPPINGS="<list of full directory names>"
CFCMAPPINGS="<list of full directory names>"

This way, we could really have independant applications.

We could also always use <CF_    >... </CF_  > custom tags instead of 
the more cumbersome <CFMODULE
