Doug, The features are completely optional to use, but with BlueDragon 7.0 is the introduction of abstract components/objects, interfaces, multithreading, onMissingTemplate in Application.cfc, and others (see http://www.newatlanta.com/products/bluedragon/self_help/docs/7_0/BlueDragon_70_Whats_New.pdf).
The multithreading alone would put BlueDragon JX in the Enterprise category of ColdFusion versions but is the same price and ColdFusion standard. Is BlueDragon the next big thing? No, it has been around for a while and is not a passing fad. Some developers even feel that the future of BlueDragon is even more certain than the future of ColdFusion. -Aaron On 11/13/06, Doug Brown <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > NUMBER 1: > > BD 7 is soon to release and has everything ColdFusion Enterprise > > Edition has at the price of ColdFusion Standard plus more (including > > the features being mentioned here and there as part of ColdFusion 8). > > So, what things can you do or not do on Bluedragon as compared to CFMX? > Comparisons please.
