I agree ... but the problem you have is that folks seldom find the time to actual attend the metings after work.
Tired, hungry, families to go home to etc. And after a while running a group, believe me this does get to you. You spend ages organising a speaker, venue, nibbles, etc and then you get 10 people. It can be a kick in the teeth, although you have to learn NOT to take it personally. This is the main reason the ScottishCFUG has went the online route.
