I would imagine they ban them for the obvious reason that they will cause problems with multiple customers who are running farcry and machII and will cause untold support tickets from people moaning that their code doesn't work because they are using someone elses mapping, and client1 changed their code, which broke client2's site etc.
If you use shared hosting you must live with the restrictions it involves, if you want to do whatever you like, you need your own server or VPS.
