I'm jumping in late, but the problem here is that properly configured
servers don't return a valid/invalid response for email addresses.  Why
not?  Because that would open your users to spam.  A spam bot could
quite easily figure out a bunch of valid email addresses on your domain
if your server politely responded to such requests.
