I don't see you manually setting a height anywhere so no, probably not. The cells are setting their own height based on the content within the biggest column of each row.
If you just want the color to 'hug' the font and not fill the entire background, set the fonts background color, not the cell. (if that's what you meant) ..:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.
