I've got a client who wants to support both the US dollar and the UK pound
on his website/online store. In addition, he has mentioned the desire to
expand that list should things go well.

How do most sites handle that situation (multiple currencies)? Do you
normally pick format (for example - the US dollar) and then give a link to a
currency calculator? Or do you try to do the conversion based on the user
settings with a web service (and if so - can anyone recommend a cheap/free
one)?

As always, the client is on a "tight budget". My thought is to keep it
simple and let them do the conversion using an external currency convertor,
but thought I'd throw the question out to see if I'm missing any other
ideas.

Thanks,
Max
