I wanted a light-weight and simple gantt for one project and got my ideas from here: http://www.pixtur.de/pub/streber_dispo/test_dispo.html I didn't want all the over-kill functionality that many of the charts offer and this has worked perfect. The idea was sound, the presentation just wasn't the best. I modifed the CSS quite a bit to look better, fed all the data from a query and I have a very clean gantt that displays employees and scheduled time-off.
