disclaimer up front...i didn't read all of the post :)

2 things:

1) you can use the array notation with query data.
queryName[columnName][n] (where 'n' is the current row being
referenced)

2) if you can alias the column names in the SQL to something more "CF
Friendly", that would avoid having to go the array notation route
mentioned above.
