First off, maybe it is too early, but I am not seeing any difference in
the two queries.. Do I need a new eye exam?

Subject: Bug?

Do not know if this is a bug or something normal, but if I have my query
like so...I get the following error. Notice where the <cfqueryparam> is.
I hunted for hours trying to figure out where this was coming from. Can
someone confirm this?

[Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver]Value can not be converted to
requested type.

  <CFQUERY name="MemberDetails" datasource="#APPLICATION.DB#"
username="#APPLICATION.UN#" password="#APPLICATION.PW#">
  SELECT   *
  FROM   #APPLICATION.DBPRE#MemberProfile
  WHERE   #APPLICATION.DBPRE#MemberProfile.MemberID =
  <CFQUERYPARAM cfsqltype="CF_SQL_BIGINT"
value="#Val(ARGUMENTS.MemberID)#">
  </CFQUERY>

But if I have it like so, everything works fine

  <CFQUERY name="MemberDetails" datasource="#APPLICATION.DB#"
username="#APPLICATION.UN#" password="#APPLICATION.PW#">
  SELECT   *
  FROM   #APPLICATION.DBPRE#MemberProfile
  WHERE   #APPLICATION.DBPRE#MemberProfile.MemberID =<CFQUERYPARAM
cfsqltype="CF_SQL_BIGINT" value="#Val(ARGUMENTS.MemberID)#">
  </CFQUERY>
