Richard, I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I only just now read your original post. You don't (and can't) have that kind of control over a user's browser. Just imagine, if someone could programmatically keep you from browsing to another site via the address bar! Wow, would the world be in trouble.
I've never used the dreamweaver extensions (or dreamweaver for that matter), but writing a login page is pretty simple. I gave you some of the very basic components in my last post. If I'm missing your point, try me again. I can probably help you out.
