Hey Doug, there is a java openid server and client that's probably one of the 
more developed openid applications over at http://www.openidenabled.com/. It'd 
be awesome if a Coldfusion wrapper for it was created, then we could just 
benefit as they update the java version later on. :)  

But as for an all Coldfusion one, I was working on a modelglue actionpack for 
the consumer side of things that's over on my website ( 
http://www.adamfortuna.com/2006/12/25/first-attempt-at-an-openid-actionpack-for-modelglue/
 ). No zip yet as it's a work in progress, but it can get a response from the 
openid server as a nice structure so far. It's coldspring driven, so hopefully 
it can be ported to other frameworks without too much trouble. I agree though, 
it'd be awesome to have a project or two up on riaforge for OpenID! Just don't 
know if all cf, or java+cf would be the best way to go on it.
