Varun, Can you be more specific by what you mean by a "true combobox"?
Do you mean you want a combo box control like the ones in MS Access, where the user can either: --select a value from the provided drop-down list. --type something that is in the list and have it try to autocomplete it. --type something that is NOT in the list and submit that value.
