I am working on a server with 8 different web sites, at least 2 of which
are fairly high traffic. Would I be best served having an instance on
each web site (server is dual-Cpu dual-core 3.8 xeon w/ 4 gig Ram,
win2003 IIS), or would you think 2 instances per high traffic site w/
cluster connector for each, and 1 instance for all the low traffic
sites?

Have you seen a case where too many instances caused issues (other than
the obvious ram issue eventually)

I guess my other idea would be to run only 2 instances for all sites in
a cluster config, and tweak the memory configuration in the jvm to allow
higher ram usage.

This server will be behind a Cisco content switch as well, so should I
still use the CF cluster capability, or just rely on the cisco?

Thanks for any advice!

Chris
