I figured this was not the best way of going about this process. The site is not on a shared server so I love the idea of using an asynchronous gateway. This is what I should have done in the first place. We are already creating a low rez image that is displayed on the preview site so I might as well do all this processing in the background. The only issue is the the image path and image info is not stored in the Db unless the user has selected the image to be used in the catalog, but I guess I could trigger the process that scans the image and create the low rez image when the user selects the image.
This would also allow me to be able to create a schedule the runs a query and finds image that might be two small and send out an email to the user. Thank you for the feed back it has help a lot.
