Flash forms introduced a way to create more interactive forms. The only downfall of Flash Forms besides this 32K limit is the amount of documentation.
Flash Forms were a moving target. It is a useful feature that will probably stay around for next version of CF. You can program in CFEclipse with the Flex SDK. You can compile in a different window and code in your project area. The only thing that would slow you down that I like about Flex Builder is the color coding and tag insight. The library of Flex is a good size. If you have CF written for the persistence layer, there are a lot of tutorials on Adobe's site about calling remote CFC methods to load Flex objects. You can learn to load grids and form controls in about 45 minutes. Here in Atlanta, we are starting a Flex Flash User Group devote to Flex and CF (www.affug.org). Our first meeting will be next wednesday. Also, the Atlanta Cold Fusion User's group on February 7th will have a 2 hr preso on how to integrate Flex with CF. I do not believe we are recordong these as we are setting up nw meetings areas, but the presentations and code should be available soon after the meetings. If you need more code examples, send me an email and I probably find some good links for you that I ahve used.
